Cheryl Rucker-Whitaker, MD, MPH, FACP, is President & Chair of the Institute of Medicine of Chicago, and CEO of NextLevel Health, the only minority owned HMO in the country. Dr. Rucker-Whitaker is a highly accomplished entrepreneurial leader and leading expert in the Medicaid and Medicare regulatory environment with extensive experience in population health management, health disparities, with expertise in community-based engagement, care coordination, and culturally competent solutions for diverse populations. Dr. Rucker-Whitaker’s extensive education includes earning an MD from Washington University School of Medicine, and MPH, Health Policy and Management, from Harvard School of Public Health. She currently holds appointments as President of the Institute of Medicine Chicago and Chair Board of Governors, and Chair, Illinois Medicaid Advisory Committee.
